Read On - Write Away! is a large scale literacy initiative begun in 1997 with a core area of Derbyshire and the City of Derby.
It aims to improve levels of literacy, especially in disadvantaged groups, to celebrate literacy and to improve workforce skills. ROWA! is an independent not-for-profit partnership. The success of its work in spreading good practice between schools has enabled ROWA! to expand and provide training for Speaking and Listening, Reading and Writing in nine LEAs.
